We are fortunate to have amazing people at Ridley’s with a passion for every type of riding. Mountain, road, urban commuting, trail, recreational cycling, downhill, you name it. We’re committed to supporting cycling for everyone in our communities including charity ride support, Trail Building Days with MMBTS and the Okotoks Trail Alliance, event tech support and through Sponsorship of a variety of clubs and individuals. Whether you’re an avid rider or just getting started come see us and we’ll help you find the perfect ride.
Ridley’s opened in the heart of Kensington, Calgary in 1945 after Harold Ridley returned from his duties as a mechanic during WWII. Today, Kristyn Hall and Ron Uhlenberg own Ridley’s and continue to provide you with the same great atmosphere Harold and Madeline Ridley created.
Every Wednesday in season, Pat and Raf lead a no-drop (yes it really is NO-DROP) road ride from the store. Come talk to Travis, Cam, Josh or Scott anytime for recommendations of amazing mountain bike rides and any service and maintenance questions you might have for them. Bikes are fun and we’re lucky to work and play at what we love. We’ll help you be the cyclist you want to be.
In 2013 we opened a second location in Okotoks to serve the cycling community where Kristyn grew up riding, running and going to school (Percy Pegler, Okotoks Junior High and Foothills Composite). Ron has lived for many years raising his family and being part of the community. For many years Ridley’s sponsored school and Rotary helmet programs, lead school rides and offers maintenance clinics you can book in-store or through the schools. Cycling is a huge part of the recreation, sport and transportation activities in Okotoks with an amazing pathway system and some great new mountain bike trails built by the Okotoks Trail Alliance. The Highwood Cycling Club rides from Ridley’s 3 times a week and we are proud to be Sponsors and friends. At both locations, Ridley’s offers full service professional bicycle repair. From fixing your flat and performing Basic Tune-ups to servicing your Forks and Shocks our mechanics will keep you rolling. Please call to book an appointment (403) 283-1421 in Calgary or (403) 995-1594 in Okotoks and ask to speak with a Ridley’s Service Advisor.
