Mountain Bike Group Rides

Mountain Bike Group Rides With YYCMTB

For 2021 YYCMTB will be hosting our normal Thursday group ride as part of their season pass program. Every Thursday there will be a Thursday social ride where riders of all skill levels are encouraged to join. On top of this you also get access to four other rides per week lead by professionally trained PMBIA coaches. Lastly, YYCMTB members get discounts at the shop!

Road Bike Group Rides - POSTPONED

When: No drop road bike group rides will be weekly on Mondays from May until August. There is a bi-weekly women's only no drop ride as well! Rides leave from the Kensington store at 6:15pm sharp
Where: Rides will mostly be based around the shop but may include out of town loops. All rides are posted in advance on the corresponding Facebook groups.
Who: You & the great people from BiciSport Cycling Club
How: "Ridley's Cycle Group Rides" is a registered ABA club. Your membership costs only cover insurance and you get to ride with some great ambassadors of the sport with loads of experience! Plus, you get a free T shirt

At YYCMTB, our goal is to help people have more fun and become better mountain bikers in a safe, relaxed and inclusive learning environment.

Whether you’re just starting out and want to get the basics, or a solid rider who wants to hone your skills, we’ll work with you to unlock your riding potential through core skills development and supportive coaching. BiciSport Cycling Club

The BiciSport Calgary Cycling Club, is a registered ‘not for profit’ organization that was originally founded by a small group of cycling enthusiasts known as the Spokes Racing Team in 1988. In 1992, the name was changed to “BiciSport Calgary Cycling Club”. BiciSport is dedicated to promoting both a healthy lifestyle, and to supporting and promoting all levels of bicycle racing. We are particularly supportive of Junior athletes, and at the same time are keen to help all of our members reach their full potential. We have been involved in organizing some of the top cycling events in Alberta. We love supporting BiciSport and all their members, you can also find them leading all of our group road rides during the summer!

Spin Sisters Mountain Bike Club

Spin Sisters Mountain Bike Club inspires a world where no woman fears rocks or drops, by bringing women of all abilities together for super-duper wicked riding in an environment of camaraderie and support whilst building leaders, and being a positive force in the community. Spin Sisters offers many fabulous opportunities for our members, for the community, and for the sport. We schedule weekly rides for all skill levels from beginner to advanced riders, offer beginner and advanced skills clinics and maintenance clinics for members, demo days and discounts on bike gear, products, accessories and bikes with our fantastic sponsors and offer a racing program with financial support for racers. The club also participates in many community initiatives including local bike-related events, trail building, and supporting charities. The club has repeatedly proven to fit the need for a strong demand in Calgary, selling out our membership within a matter of days each year! See you on the trails! Highwood Cycling Club

Weekly Ride Information

We offer multiple rides per week, weather permitting. Tuesday night rides feature a sociable pace (23-27km/h average) which makes this a great opportunity to learn how to draft and explore new routes with experienced local cyclists. Thursday night rides have a focus on training and will allow you to push your limits. On Saturdays we usually offer more than one route choice with this ride breaking up into smaller groups.

All rides leave from Ridley's Cycle Okotoks location.
