Welcome to our first roundup! Each month, we’ll try and recap all the goings-on at the shop, including new and exciting products, deals on awesome gear, past and upcoming events, and even some interesting industry news that’s floating around.
New Product Releases and Re-Stocks
OneUp Clip Pedals
Probably the biggest news of the month is OneUp dropping their brand-new clip(less?) pedal. As of writing, all colours are available in-store and online right now. We’ve been waiting on these since the first rumours came out and can’t wait to get some rides in on ‘em.
They’re one of the lightest, thinnest platform clipless pedals on the market, come in an all-new range of anodized colours, and promise a secure and adjustable retention system. Bonus feature is that they’re SPD compatible and you can use existing SPD cleats in these pedals or the new OneUp cleat in other SPD pedals.
Ridley’s can also claim a connection to the design of these pedals – Peter Skarsgard who was the lead design engineer on the Clip Pedal project is actually a Ridley’s staff alumn! Definitely a “cool story, bro” moment for all of us here at the shop.
Coast Optics
We’re known to have a soft spot for Canadian brands, so we jumped at the opportunity to become a Coast Optics dealer. Designed and tested in Whistler and some of British Columbia’s best bike trails – Coast Optics are a brand making sunglasses and goggles that work well, look great, and make as minimal an impact on the environment as possible. And since we know riders can have a tendency to lose or break sunglasses, these don’t break the bank either!
We’ve picked up a few frame colours in a couple of different lenses of their Nita glasses. Available in-store and online now.
Smith Helmets and Goggles
Smith is a long-time staff and customer favourite because they make helmets and eyewear that are safe, and comfortable, and keep you looking great out on the pavement or trails. We’ve just started to get our hands on a re-stock of some popular models plus a few new colours and even a new product drop.
Be sure to check out the wild new Zero Gravity colourway available in the Mainline full-face helmet which we have stock in all sizes. This funky colourway will also be available in the new Forefront 3 helmet and Squad XL goggles but those are still on their way.
If you’ve got some little rippers in your life. We’re also excited to be offering Smith’s new SideKick Jr. helmets. They come in a youth small and a youth extra-small and we already have a few fun colours available right now.
Bivo Bottles
These amazing bottles sold like hot cakes over the holiday season, so we made sure to re-stock for all of you that either missed out or got these as Christmas gifts and now want to refurbish your whole bottle collection. Lots of Duos are available now and more insulated Trios should be in-store and online before the start of February.
RaceFace Era - 160mm Cranks
One of the best products to be released in the last year or so, Raceface’s super-durable Era cranks are now available in 160mm for all the short-crank aficionados out there. Contact us today to find out how to get yourself a pair!

If you’re looking for a deal on a mountain bike with Fox suspension and a solid groupset (and happen to ride a size Medium) then this is the best deal that we know of. Unfortunately, we don’t have any sizes other than a medium, but if you think that will work for you, feel free to head down to one of the shops to give one a test ride.

Just because IBIS has released the newest generation of the Ripley and Ripmos doesn’t mean that the old ones have any less fun to ride. Trek Sustainability Report
Trek has been one of our closest brand partners for decades because we both believe that bikes have the power to be a tool for change in the world. One of those ways is helping with the climate change crisis – and Trek has dedicated itself to becoming a sustainability leader in the bike industry.
Trek just released their annual sustainability report which gives us all a snapshot about their progress towards their sustainability goals while highlighting programs and initiatives present and future.
Trek was excited to announce that they’re even closer than planned to hitting their goal of cutting emissions per bike in half – which looks like it should happen in 2027 instead of 2032. This year’s report highlights the push to reduce the emissions impact of their aluminum manufacturing specifically as well as the start and growth of their tire recycling program.
Wolf Tooth Tire Pressure App
A brand that makes some of our favourite bike components and accessories has just updated its handy tire pressure app. Available for Android and iOS, as well as online, Wolf Tooth’s tire pressure app is a great tool to help you dial in your tire pressure for the most comfortable, most efficient ride possible.

Ridley’s 80th Anniversary
Last, but definitely not least – we’re excited to celebrate Ridley’s 80th Anniversary this year! Originally started by Harold and Maddy Ridley in 1945, our Kensington location has been a staple of the community and we’re so proud and grateful to be able to continue their legacy all these years later.
